Freddie Snalam has been climbing mountains for over 30 years, from the crags in his native Britain, to the Alps, Africa, South America, and the Himalayas (including paragliding and snowboarding in Nepal). He founded Alpine World Adventures (A.W.A) in 1984.
Freddie studied mechanical engineering and taught school in England. In 1980 he decided to sail around the world in a 36 foot ketch. He only made it to the USA, whereupon he settled in Boulder, Colorado to pursue his life as a hot dog vendor, (Freddie's Hot Dogs - 16 years), and ice climbing and paragliding instructor, which he has been doing since 1984 with Alpine World Adventures.
